The mandrel is made of smooth steel which allows for easy forging. It is 12" long with a 2" x 3/4" square end that can be placed in a vise bringing the total length to 14", and tapers from 3/8" to 2". Use the small end for small hoop earrings, and use the large end for large hoop earrings. This mandrel has a round solid shape with a square end to place in a vise grip while you work on your hoop earrings. It weighs 4 lb. and is great for craftsmen and jewelers.
